Confinement Told By A Winemaker : story 5
Look In On : Domaine de la Grenaudière
with Jean-Luc Ollivier.
» Confined under the sun in the Muscadet … Walk in the area to check if everything is going well in the vineyards … »
Located in the town of Maisdon-sur-Sèvre (Loire Atlantique – France), le domaine de la Grenaudière covers 30 hectares. From father to son since the 17th century, the property is now in the expert hands of two brothers with ideal complementarity. The vines extend on sunny hillsides located between the Sèvre and Maine, these two rivers which have precisely given their names to the appellation « Muscadet Sèvre et Maine ». The wines come from several geological origins: granite and clay soils, and also gravel and sandy loam soils. The vines are between 25 and 60 years old, with an average of 45 years..
